Eric Perez graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He was the President Elect in Rho Epsilon, a professional real estate fraternity at EKU and received several scholarships including the Appraisal Institute Scholarship, Institute of Real Estate Management Scholarship, and Eastern Kentucky University Academic Scholarship. While in college, he was an Assistant Property Manager at Apex Realty in Lexington, KY and also acquired his Real Estate License.
Eric has been with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for over 12 years. During his 12 years in the KY Transportation Cabinet he has served as a Project Manager (IPA), Executive Staff Advisor, Administrative Branch Manager, Staff Assistant, Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director for the Office of Transportation Delivery. He has worked with Office Staff and KY Transit Agencies to help secure, administer and process over $1 billion in federal and state dollars from the Federal Transit Administration, Department for Medicaid Services, Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and Commonwealth of Kentucky. These funds help provide transportation services for Kentucky citizens who need access to dialysis, cancer treatments, work, job training, shopping and Medicaid services.
Eric and his wife are therapeutic foster parents with Sunrise Children Services. Eric is a member, deacon and treasurer of Bohon Road Baptist Church. Eric lives in Harrodsburg with his wife Monica and his five children Isabella (age 12), Eli (age 9), Abigail (age 8), Annika (age 6) and Daxton (age 5).
